Garlic Shrimp With Noodles

Garlic infused shrimp with a touch of spice served on a bed of noodles

Garlic and shrimp. The two greatest pleasures in life. The two ingredients I could probably live off of for the rest of my life. And when you combine these two with thick noodles, well, it’s nothing short of perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 cup of onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 lipton noodles
  • 1 packet of butter and herb sauce
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 pound shrimp, medium, raw, peeled
  • 1 14 oz can of artichoke hearts, drained, halved
  • 1/4 cup parsley, fresh, minced
  • Black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and cook onion until tender.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil. Stir in noodles and sauce and continue boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally for around 8 minutes or until noodles are tender.
  3. Meanwhile in a 12-inch skillet, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil and cook garlic over medium high heat 30 seconds.
  4. Add the shrimp and artichokes and cook, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Stir in parsley and pepper.
  5. To serve, combine shrimp mixture with hot noodles. Garnish, if desired, with watercress.
